Speaking in her first piece in this series, Bianca described her inspiration for bringing these women together for this special Fifi & Friends shoot.

“Instagram has played a huge part in the way I now shop for both my daughter and myself. It’s opened doors to new brands and designers I’d otherwise never have known about, as well as introducing me to incredibly stylish women who dress their daughters as wonderful, creative and achingly-cool extensions of themselves.”

Here, the second instalment of interviews with mamas whose personal style has influenced how they dress their little ones (and vice versa!)

Nicola Eyre, mama to Cissy and Nico

@cissywears

1) How would you describe your personal style?

Simple. I mostly stick to a tonal palette of black, grey, navy and hints of blush pink lately. I don’t really do ‘fashion’ and tend to stick to classic shapes and styles.

2) How has your style influenced the way you dress your daughter/s.

I don’t do bright colours and prints so you never see my kids in loud, primary colours. I take the same approach to dressing my kids as I do to myself – a capsule wardrobe where everything goes with anything and it’s very mix and match.

3) Has your daughter taught you anything about style?

That no matter how cool, dark or minimalist you are, you will never avoid the polyester princess phase.

4) What is the item your daughter most often wants to steal?

Cissy is very tactile and so is drawn to items that feel different: a fluffy jumper or a soft top. She loves to wear a little of my Stila creme blush on her cheeks too.

Ummu Hussein, mama to Amaya

@fig_and_honey

1) How would you describe your personal style?

Modern minimalism with generous hints of athleisure. My wardrobe is full of effortless and comfortable pieces and I’m open to trying out new trends, but nothing over-the-top.

2) How has your style influenced the way you dress your daughter/s.

The effortless and comfortable aspect of my style has remained. Of course her wardrobe has tutus and swan dresses too. She’s going through the ballerina/ princess phase and I could never deprive her!

3) Has your daughter taught you anything about style?

Yes – to have a little more fun with fashion. At one point my wardrobe was full of black pieces but I’m a little more open to colour now.

4) What is the item your daughter most often wants to steal?

My handbag, she fills it with her toys and walks around calling herself “Umma”.

Bianca Presto, mama to Ren / @

@heybpresto

1) How would you describe your personal style?

I don’t think I have a particular style, I’m a bit of a chameleon when it comes to fashion and love experimenting with different trends, adapting them for my own personal taste.

2) How has your style influenced the way you dress your daughter/s.

I’m definitely drawn to dresses and jumpsuits as a clothing choice and this is very evident in the way I shop for Ren too. It’s an easy, simple outfit and an especially useful piece for a little girl who knows exactly what she likes and would take all morning trying on outfits if I let her.

3) Has your daughter taught you anything about style?

Yes, to be more comfortable in my own skin. Ren is my number one fan and never fails to notice if I’m wearing something new or comment on my lipstick – that kind of positivity does wonders for your personal style.

4) What is the item your daughter most often wants to steal?

Understandably, given my job, Ren is obsessed with makeup and would rather accessorise with lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush –  hell you name it, she’ll take it over a handbag or sparkly shoes. I’m quite strict though and will only concede to a little lip gloss outside the house.
